Our Calgary client provides long-term care and rehabilitation to adults in our community, and they are seeking a Housekeeping Aide to join their team right away.
If you have previous experience in a laundry-type capacity and looking to work in a care facility, we’d love to speak with you!
Responsibilities :
- Ensure cleanliness of all department areas, as well as public areas
- Stock and keep track of cleaning supplies
- Garbage and bio-hazardous disposal
- Sterilize and disinfect equipment according to health and safety policies
- Complete regularly scheduled cleaning as well as special cleaning assignments
- Interacts positively with guests and staff
Requirements :
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
- Able to read, write, and speak in English proficiently
- Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, stretching, and moving heavy objects; comfortable with tasks such as mopping, using cleaning equipment.
- Knowledgeable on how to use cleaning equipment and supplies
- Desire to provide quality care to guests and staff
- Positive attitude, works well with a team to provide excellent care
- Must be agreeable to a vulnerable sector check as part of employment
