Responsibilities
Semantic and Data Decisions Modelling Design and implement semantic data models for BI solutions Collaborate with the Data Architecture team on building back-end data models to be consumed by BI Developers, and customer-facing semantic models.
Ensure building BI metrics and workflows end-end towards ensuring strategic reporting requirements and self service at scale.
Use your experience in back-end data modelling to ensure data integrity and performance Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into data models and reporting layers Familiar with connect BI Products to external or custom data through API (i.
e. RestAPI) Make technology adjustments to existing BI systems to improve performance. Design or contribute on analytics data pipelines from columnar databases such as Snowflake and BigQuery.
- Dashboard and Visualization Development Develop visually appealing and intuitive dashboards using Power BI Leverage advanced visualization techniques to effectively communicate insights Ensure adherence to best practices in data visualization, story building and user experience design
- UX / UI Design You have good experience in UI / UX design principles You will use tools such as Figma to create compelling and user-friendly interfaces You will collaborate with Product Management, Business Leaders and Engineering partners to gather reporting specs and improve on designs
- BI Operations You will automate deployment processes and ensure seamless integration with existing systems
- Technical Leadership and Mentorship You will Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members You will Partner with Data Governance Team and Analytics Leads on Access, Policy and compliance.
You will Partner with Data Architecture on BI tech roadmaps and technical direction. You will Develop BI standards and best practices artifacts.
You will foster a culture of learning and knowledge sharing You will collaborate with teams to align BI initiatives with business objectives You have experience with project management / scrum to provide technical direction for BI delivery.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in delivering end-to-end BI solutions
- Expertise knowledge of PBI, good understanding of Looker, Tableau and other industry standard tools and their ecosystems
- Experience with Python and the ability to write stored procedures, views and SQL functions.
- Knowledge of deployment processes and release pipelines i.e. Git
- Knowledge in version control.
- Expert knowledge of back-end semantic data modelling
- Proficiency in front-end dashboard and visualization development
- Experience in UI / UX design principles and tools like Figma
- Experience with BI operations, DevOps, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
- Familiarity with data warehousing solutions like Snowflake

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) : º $126,000 - $176,300 CAN Annually
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI / QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental / adoption leave), extended health / dental / vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees.
Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
