What you’ll do

It’s safe to say, there’s no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key accountabilities of the role :

Key business partner to TJXC 3rd party logistics providers and extensive vendor community by effective partnering and ongoing education to enable the efficient flow of goods through TJX Canada's supply chain.

Works collaboratively within the business and externally to maximize profitability by identifying risks and pro-actively seek opportunities with a 12-month view to improve the flow of goods through our supply chain.

  • Manages the development and execution of strategies for TJX Canada’s Store Ready program, Vendor Management and On-Boarding, Freight Terms and Vendor Performance initiatives, in alignment with Manager of MVR and in support of Supply Chain's long-term vision
  • Manages a team who partners and supports Merchants and Vendors on logistical best practices. Bring forward new innovations and cost savings initiatives as well as educate and share expertise to enable the effective flow of goods through TJX Canada supply chain
  • Responsible for connecting all business partner feedback / activity for Store Ready and Vendor Performance for assigned area (Home / Apparel) and provide insight to the Manager of MVR with recommendations and solutions on performance improvement and achieving objectives
  • Manages Vendor relationships and acts as the Vendor's post-buy point of contact by providing clarity for Vendors regarding supply chain questions and / or concerns and conducting on-site meetings with Vendors as needed.

Identifies areas of improvement and Vendor non-compliance and communicates non-compliance to key Vendor contacts, and partners with Vendors to develop a concise action plan for improvement in partnership with Merchants with an overall objective of enabling the Merchant organization and protecting the flow of goods through supply chain

Leads initiating and delivering training for Merchant and Vendor programs, as required on logistics topics such as Store Ready, Vendor delivery performance, Duty Drawback, Incoterms lead times, cube utilization, customs requirements, and landing factor;

enables training provided to Buying Offices, Merchants, MA's, and Vendors as required for assigned departments (Home / Apparel) to improve Vendor Compliance and enhance knowledge and participation in value-added services and strategic initiatives

  • Participates on cross-departmental teams to ensure Logistics and Supply Chain Finance’s needs are considered on company-wide projects and build, maintain, and leverage strong partnerships with Merchants, Finance and Logistics to provide a holistic influential business view
  • Fosters collaboration within team by providing training, direction, coaching, mentorship, feedback to achieve department objectives and is a resource to answer questions and discuss best practices

What you’ll need

To begin your career with us, we require the following :

  • Minimum five (5) years’ logistics experience, preferably in retail, or a combination of buying / planning / merchandise allocation experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related with Business, Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain Management focus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence business partners, to help prioritize activities and resources to meet the organization needs, build rapport and credibility to be a trusted advisor
  • Demonstrated solid leadership skills with the ability to act as a collaborative partner with senior management and positively influence management and staff to act in the best interest of the company
  • Excellent communication, facilitation / presentation skills with ability to communicate effectively across multiple teams with various needs and objectives, experienced in participating / leading meetings / presentations

Salary Range : $85,430 - $129,188* / year

This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than
