Focusing FTL and LTL shipments for the automotive industry, looking for an Assistant for the Terminal Manager to support with dispatch, driver manager duties, administration and other.
Seeking someone who has strong communication skills, strong geographical knowledge of Canada, and at least 5+ years in Dispatching.

Responsibilities
Working under the Terminal Manager, the Assistant / Senior Dispatch will support with day-to-day operations, dispatch and driver compliance duties
- Dispatch daily truck operations for pick-up and deliveries
- Manage the information on routes, trips, schedules, pick-up information, return information
- Identify any problems and service needs and works to resolve
- Ensures all driver-logs are completed and submitted on time
- Driver compliance duties (fuel reduction initiatives, speeding, etc), conducts meetings with drivers to ensure regulations and up-to-date training and development
- Support with new hires, guide and coach staff
- Follow branch objectives and sales objectives
- Participate in the health and safety initiatives, participates in attendance, performance and staff development management
- Work closely with shop supervisor for truck repairs
- All other duties
Qualifications
- French and English is mandatory
- At least 4 years in Dispatching Canada / USA, or leadership role in a unionized environment
- DEC in logistics or other relevant certifications
- Good leadership skills
- Team player. Able to work well with others
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Good communicator
- Minimum high school diploma
- Strong geographical knowledge of Canada
