Our education client in Hamilton is seeking a Manager, Financial Planning & Budgeting. They will report into the Director, Financial Planning and have 4 direct reports with a focus on creating and preparing the company’s annual budget, completing financial analysis and reporting.
This individual will be CPA designated and bring 3+ years of FP&A experience to the table. They will need to have excellent communication and presentation skills, as they will be presenting to the Sr. Management team.
Please note : this position requires you to be in Ontario and in the local area, as this is a hybrid position.

Responsibilities :
- Lead the process and preparation of annual operating budgets and analyze budget impacts
- Provide strategy recommendations to senior leadership
- Coordinate with Financial Planning Analysts to prepare and present budget information
- Maintain stakeholder relationships
- Prepare ad hoc financial analysis in response to requests from financial managers, senior management, and external parties.
- Develop business cases for strategic initiatives and advise on the financial implications to the budget forecast, financial statements, impact to government funding and ministry financial health indicators
- Play a key role in the Financial Planning team by overseeing the performance and development of direct reports
Qualifications :
- CPA a must (Canadian or international) with 3+ years experience
- Experience managing / leading a team and ideally someone in a manager position currently
- Excellent communication and presentations skills
- Industry experience with an FP&A background a big asset
