Do you have strong computer skills and an ability to help those who don't? As an on-site Digital Literacy & Essential Skills Facilitator with Discovery Community College in our Nanaimo campus, you will help to develop and deliver information, focused on preparing our students for training and employment opportunities.
This is a part-time to full-time position, depending on classroom schedules and availability (exact schedule to be confirmed) The wage range for this position will be : $30 to $33 per hour depending on experience.
Roles and Responsibilities : Work directly with our students as a liaison, facilitator, and coach to prepare them for their next career steps.
Help our students with essential skills (computer usage / digital literacy etc) throughout their training. Experience Requirements (but not limited to) : Previous experience facilitating employability skills required.
Be able to pay attention to details, establish priorities and manage multiple simultaneous projects. Excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Office (especially 0365, Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook etc) essential Maintain composure and effectiveness when working under deadlines.
Be able to work independently within strict timelines. Be detail oriented and very thorough in the collection and recording of information.
