Randstad Digital is seeking a Project Manager for an immediate contract opportunity for a Federal Government client based in Ottawa.

This opportunity can be offered to fully remote working contractors in Canada.

The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in a Project Manager role.

There is a mandatory requirement to possess a Level 1 Enhanced or a Level II Secret PSPC Clearance.

Responsibilities

Clearly define the scope and objectives of the post-certificate discovery project, including strategy for identifying the types of certificates in use and the systems and applications where they reside.

Identify and engage key SSC and GC stakeholders, such as infrastructure teams, service operators, IT service managers, security experts, and others.

Determine the resources needed for the project, including personnel, tools, and technology, and allocate them efficiently.

Identify potential risks, such as incomplete discovery or unauthorized access to sensitive data, and develop mitigation strategies

Assess constraints, such as budget limitations or technical challenges, and address them proactively.

Develop a detailed project timeline, outlining key milestones and deliverables to ensure systematic and timely completion of the discovery process

Evaluate and recommend appropriate methodologies and tools for automating and streamlining the discovery process, such as certificate management platforms or network scanning software.

Ensure alignment with industry and organization best practices, standards and guidelines.

Facilitate the documentation of all discovered certificates, including their locations, usage, and expiration dates, for future reference and compliance purposes.

Understanding of technology trends, including emerging areas like quantum computing.

Ability to integrate technological solutions into project planning and execution

Strong communication skills to coordinate with stakeholders and convey complex project information.

Ability to perform critical path analysis to ensure efficient schedule management.

Proficient in using project management tools to visualize and manage dependencies and timelines

Qualifications

Expertise in delivering a comprehensive project plan for achieving post-quantum migration.

Strong capabilities in developing strategies for transitioning systems to new and advanced technologies.

Knowledge of quantum computing impacts on cryptography and the ability to identify and mitigate associated risks.

Expertise in developing project management plans and action strategies to guide projects from initiation to completion.

Skilled in risk management, stakeholder engagement, and resource optimization, ensuring timely, within-budget, high-quality project delivery.

Proficiency in Agile project management methodologies is essential, along with strong leadership and communication skills for team management and stakeholder interaction.

Experience in adapting plans to shifting project needs.
