Accountant - Entry Level

We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a detail-oriented Accountant - Entry Level in Toronto, Ontario. As an Accountant - Entry Level, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions, including processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and resolving inquiries. You will also have an active role in monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary.

Responsibilities :

• Accurately processing customer credit applications, ensuring efficiency in the process
• Maintaining meticulous records of customer credit
• Resolving customer inquiries promptly and professionally
• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly expense reports and conducting analysis
• Supporting the creation of materials for various projects
• Assisting in the preparation of J-SOX's self-assessment documentation
• Participating in physical inventory counts when required
• Responding to audit requests in a timely manner
• Reviewing and monitoring credit lines and their conditions' fulfillment
• Sending out reminders for expiring credit lines and tracking credit line usage on a monthly basis
• Preparing credit references for business departments
• Preparing and posting payment workflows.
• The candidate must possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in an Accounting role.
• Proficiency in account coding is required.
• Familiarity with various accounting software systems is necessary.
• The applicant should be adept at using Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience in working with Dynamics NAV is expected.
• Knowledge of ERP solutions is a must.
• The candidate should be proficient in account analysis.
• The ability to handle various accounting entries is required.
• The candidate should be competent in performing various accounting functions.
• Account reconciliation skills are a must for this role.
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary.
• Familiarity with SAP is expected.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Power BI is a plus.
