Position Overview
The Business Enablement group is seeking a dynamic and motivated professional to join our Business Continuity Management (BCM) team. The Advisor, Business Continuity Management, will work with the BCM Lead and other resiliency teams to mature the Business Continuity Management Program (BCMP).
The BCMP is a cyclical program that delineates and describes all activities related to business continuity within the organization. Each phase has elements that strengthen the ability of EDC and its employees to prepare to respond to disruptions and mitigate risk. The program phases include Business Impact Analysis, Plan Development, Training & Awareness, and Exercising. In addition, this role supports assessments of vendors that provide time critical services.
Key Responsibilities
Business Impact Analysis / Plan Development
- Supports Leaders by facilitating Business Impact Analysis sessions and Plan Development.
- Works with the business to elicit, analyze, communicate, validate and translate business continuity requirements to implement solutions across information management, technology, facility, staff, and business processes.
- Conducts analysis and makes recommendations for the development of recovery procedures.
- Acts as a liaison between the business and technical communities in the development, implementation and reporting of business continuity solutions that support EDC.
