Candu Energy Inc. is looking to hire a Buenos Aires office Engineering Director for a full-time regular position. This role, in support of Cernavoda 3 and 4 New Build and Monark development program, is responsible for delivering the internal engineering work and reports to the VP and Sr. Director, Candu International.

Location - Mississauga, ON

This full-time position is based in Mississauga but includes an 18-month relocation to our office in Argentina.

Your role within the team :

• Requires a 18-24 month assignment to Buenos Aires, Argentina.
• Responsible for the utilization of the engineering personnel assigned to him / her.
• Responsible for the technical integration and interface control both within the internal client projects and the different technical groups present in the Buenos Aires office, such as Piping, Nuclear Process Design, Deterministic Safety Analysis, Probabilistic Safety Analysis and Instrumentation and Control.
• Ensure qualified and appropriate staff are working on the project and are assigned work within their experience and skills.
• Provide guidance, technical insights, supervision and feedback to the Engineering Managers that are part of his / her team.
• Oversight of technical deliverables budget, schedule and quality.
• Ensure that the final deliverables meet customer requirements specified in the contract and overall alignment with nuclear codes and standards.
• Review and approve or delegate the approval of key technical documentation under his supervision.
• Identifying and proposing improvements in the functioning of the organization – both proactively and in response to changes in the business environment.
• Liaise with external clients at the behest of the Project Engineering Directors regarding the technical matters.
