Position Summary :
We are seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Manager with a strong background in the hospital and healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will oversee and streamline the organization's accounts receivable operations, focusing on improving collections, monitoring claim submissions, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. This role is key in maintaining positive cash flow and fostering collaborative relationships with both internal stakeholders and external clients, such as insurance providers and patients.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage the end-to-end accounts receivable process, including patient billing, claim submissions, collections, and payment posting in a healthcare / hospital context.
- Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of accounts with a goal to reduce days sales outstanding (DSO).
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of accounts receivable specialists, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and best practices.
- Conduct regular training and performance evaluations to improve department efficiency and individual employee development.
- Ensure compliance with federal and provincial laws, as well as hospital industry standards for patient billing and collections.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate financial documentation and insight into accounts receivable operations.
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on key metrics, such as collection rates and accounts receivable aging.
- Analyze trends and identify opportunities for process improvements or policy adjustments to enhance overall efficiency and cash flow.
- Partner with finance, operations, and patient services departments to ensure seamless integration of accounts receivable processes within the broader revenue cycle.
- Maintain strong relationships with patients to improve resolution rates for outstanding accounts.
