Account Manager – Solar Energy Industry

About Our Client

Our client is a leader in the distribution, design, engineering, and project management of solar energy products. With a proven track record of providing reliable, high-quality solutions from industry-leading manufacturers, they have become the partner of choice for top solar installers and project clients across Canada and beyond. Having supplied equipment to over 23,000 solar projects, our client is active in every province and territory, delivering innovative solar solutions that drive industry growth and customer success.

Your Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned sales professional with significant experience in the solar industry, ideally based in the Calgary area. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team at the forefront of renewable energy, with a focus on delivering exceptional solar solutions to dealers and contractors. The role offers competitive base compensation, an attractive uncapped commission structure, paid vacation and sick days, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Generating new leads and building strong relationships with solar industry clients.
  • Providing top-tier account management and customer service to help dealers grow their business using the best solar products, system designs, and resources available.
  • Maintaining collaborative relationships with dealers and contractors to proactively address inventory needs and ensure timely support during peak demand periods.
  • Developing and presenting tailored solar energy proposals to clients, virtually and in person.
  • Addressing client concerns, negotiating contracts, and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Representing our client at solar-focused networking and industry events.
  • Enhancing sales performance by implementing innovative strategies and processes.

Your Requirements :

  • Proven ability to deliver high-value sales within the solar energy sector.
  • Minimum 2 years of successful sales experience, with a strong emphasis on solar products, system design, and industry knowledge.
  • In-depth understanding of solar energy systems, including basics of system design, installation, and product functionality.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with solar professionals and stakeholders.
  • Strong networking capabilities and a proactive mindset to consistently expand the solar customer base.
  • Strategic thinking and the desire to contribute to the solar department’s growth and expansion.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience directly in the solar industry.
