The Opportunity

The Project Manager role is a communicator who brings people together to fully define the problem, explore solutions, scope out deliverables, and drive to completion with agility.

You are adept at building relationships based on transparency and accountability and leverage that accountability as you partner with your project business leaders.

Your experience in Agile and Waterfall helps you to find the right approach and coach the team to get the job done. Proven ability to deliver large or transformation projects is an asset.

You deliver relevant outcomes by leveraging your key stakeholder feedback channels while managing schedule and budget commitments.

You share your knowledge freely and are always open to learn new approaches.

Pay Grade : 18 ($91,630 to $123,970 annual base salary) Location : Vancouver, BC or open to any of our BC regional offices (hybrid) Reports to : Leader, Project Management Office (PMO)

As a project manager, you lead planning activity :

  • Brings a diverse group of stakeholders together from all levels of the organization to develop project charters and plans
  • Facilitates discovery workshops to explore and then refine scope and requirements
  • Develops work plans with resource estimates, timelines, and change impact analysis
  • Identifies and captures key internal and external dependencies
  • Works with Business Leaders to create new business cases as necessary

A project manager drives execution :

  • Accountable for project timelines, scope of work, resourcing, budget, and communication plans
  • Identifies and tracks risks, and explores risk mitigation strategies
  • Builds a strong sense of team with mutual accountability
  • Facilities workshops, working group meetings, and steering committee meetings with participants from all levels of the organization, can capture and validate outcomes with participants
  • Promotes collaboration and consensus decisions between organizational areas that have the natural and necessary tensions of a regulator.
  • Identifies, facilitates, and captures key business and regulatory decisions
  • Ensures an operational readiness plan and / or change management plan is developed and executed
  • Celebrates team accomplishments

As a project manager, you contribute to the Project Management Office (PMO) :

  • Provides transparent and timely project updates to the PMO Leader, including notable project risks and opportunities
  • Contributes to and helps develop maturity of project management practices with a focus on Agile and Human-centered Design (HCD)
  • Advocates for project management as a skill and seeds best practices into the organization, may include mentoring opportunities
  • Shares knowledge and skills freely with colleagues, maintains a growth mindset, and openly shares successes and challenges

Knowledge, Skills & Experience you have :

Required :

  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • Degree in business administration, computer science or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Open minded, flexible, client and business focused
  • Ability to quickly build trusting relationships
  • Experience in leading agile project teams to successful outcomes
  • Ability to align a diverse team of technical and creative minds to achieve a common goal
  • Experience in securing, fostering, and maintaining team commitment
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Experience managing multiple projects
  • Above average attention to detail

Nice-to-have :

  • PMP, PMI-ACP or other project management certification
  • Scrum Master or other Agile designation
  • Experience with Human-Centered Design (HCD)
  • Change management, QA & training delivery experience
