Role Summary
As the Senior Project Manager of Digital Transformation, you are responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery for technology and transformation initiatives.
You will support project discovery, scoping, and planning and ensure that projects are completed successfully, realizing the target objectives and benefits.
As the Senior Project Manager of Digital Transformation, you will utilize your technical and project management skills and experience to develop and improve all project planning and resource management aspects.
In this role, you report directly to the Director of Digital Transformation and will work closely with the Information Services team and cross-departmentally throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Information Services Team and other cross-departmental stakeholders to scope, plan, and resource multiple projects simultaneously in alignment with roadmaps
- Develop and maintain project artifacts which outline project status, individual tasks, milestones, completion estimates, scope, resource allocation, stakeholder & change management, etc.
- Ensure plans are sequenced, prioritized, and aligned with resources, team objectives, and technical standards
- Source and procure contracts with subcontractors and suppliers necessary to complete projects
- Partner with stakeholders to align expectations and establish reasonable Quality Assurance for deliverables
- Support the Director of Digital Transformation in establishing and rolling out best practices for project management
- Serve as the technical and business stakeholder advocate during the engagement process
- Lead all aspects of project delivery, including scope definition, deliverables, project budget, project charters and schedules, scope change requests, project timelines, resourcing plans, as well as issues and risk register
- Use and maintain project management tools, such as JIRA, Asana, and Confluence
- Establish metrics against which project success will be assessed and ensure that the project meets the expectations of the stakeholders
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Project Management required, working on technology and business transformation projects
- Project Management Professional Certification from an accredited institution is preferred
- Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience managing large, complex, cross-functional projects involving internal stakeholders, external partners, and senior leaders
- Experience prioritization tasks based on business value, resource availability, commitments and backlog
- Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing Team-members with respect to project deliverables
- Experience applying analytical thinking, problem-solving, and establishing guidelines
- Proven knowledge and understanding of Kanban method / Agile development cycles as well as more traditional Waterfall approaches
- Experience with Microsoft Suite products (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with an ability to interface well and effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical Team-members
