ABOUT THE POSITION
Responsible for driving the employee experience.
Providing guidance and coaching to managers, leaders and employees.
Collaborates with various departments to determine course of action and provide closure to people issues.
Responds to questions regarding policy & process, performance management, employee relations, disability management and other areas of the employee lifecycle.
Provide disability management support, including gradual return to work plans and accommodations.
Contributes to developing and implementing strategies and practices across People Recruitment, People Operations, People Development, People Rewards and Wellness, People Systems, Workforce Planning and Corporate Strategy.
Advise and coach leaders and employees on difficult conversations.
Conduct investigations independently, recommending interventions to address workplace concerns & de-escalate conflict.
Creates customized workplace restoration strategies to provide lasting resolution, setting clear objectives, and following up while ensuring employees feel heard.
THE REQUIREMENTS
4+ years of experience in Human Resources.
Diploma or degree in Human Resources and CPHR designation is preferred.
Prior experience conducting independent investigations.
Must be well versed in advising and coaching leaders and employees on difficult conversations.
The ability to problem-solve, provide resolution and set clear objectives and follow up is required.
Must have sound working knowledge of Human Rights and Employment Standards.
A people first approach to employee experience.
Must be able to collaborate with teammates.
Strong communication abilities.
Experience in the public sector is an asset.
COMPENSATION
Annual salary range is up to $113,000 however the expected salary range is $85,000 $95,000. 3 weeks vacation and comprehensive benefits are provided.
