Job descriptionLead and mentor a high-performance team of business analysts. Daily supervision of the business analysis team, including setting team strategy in alignment with corporate goals, one-on-one mentoring, team building, and problem and conflict management. Implement the processes, standards and tools necessary to maintain and continuously improve the performance of the team. Organize training events (training, presentations, etc.) contributing to the acquisition of new knowledge and the development of expertise. Recruiting and hiring business analysts in alignment with the business strategy, as well as onboarding new resources and ensuring that they receive the necessary support and training. Evaluate and ensure that the performance of team members meets the objectives set and the expectations of management including annual performance assessment, compensation management, and career path guidance. Partner, communicate, and influence within the Equisoft organization on advocating and enhancing business analysis services, methodologies, processes, and governance models ensuring a unified analysis experience. Support the sales and delivery of solutions to the insurance and financial services industry. Support the discovery, estimation, and Statement of Work (SOW) review for the scope, responsibilities, methodology, and governance of projects. Support the allocation of resources to Equisoft’s many projects and initiatives. Act as a Principal Business Analyst to support client projects and internal initiatives, and to solve complex problems, as required. Provide expertise in new product and insurance process implementations. Participate in requirement discovery and process analysis, the development of Equisoft solutions, and implementation projects. Provide governance and escalation support for topics related to changes in scope, timelines, methodology, and overall delivery. Bachelor's Degree or commensurate Business Analysis experience, with a strong ability to elicit, communicate, write, synthesize, and present information to various audiences. Formal business analysis experience is a definite asset. Subject matter expertise in Life and Health insurance products and processes acquired over a period of 10 years of relevant business experience, that enables you to act as an insurance industry resource on client-facing projects. Alternatively, the Director of Business Analysis has an in-depth understanding of one or more Equisoft products acquired over a period of 5 years of relevant experience. Experience working with insurance policy administration systems, e-applications, or illustrations, and an ability to quickly become proficient in how insurance products and processes are implemented on one or several of Equisoft’s platforms. Experience with OIPA (Oracle Insurance Policy Administration) or Equisoft products is an asset. Demonstrated ability to understand a technical landscape. Demonstrated interest in new technologies, such as AI, to enhance the efficiency of business analysts. Mastery of English and French (spoken and written). Spanish language skills are an asset. Demonstrated leadership and an ability to manage a growing team. Ability to develop, coach and mobilize a team, and to make recommendations to improve team performance. Strong sense of organization and prioritizing. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate, write and synthesize information. Ability to multi-task in a rapid-paced environment. Team spirit, tact, diplomacy, autonomy, rigor, and discipline.
