Role Summary
This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic, outgoing individual who is looking for a rewarding career. The Maintenance Associate will provide general maintenance support, including inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs.
The role involves maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment for staff and visitors. Candidates who enjoy hands-on work and uphold high standards are encouraged to join the dedicated team.
Responsibilities
- Start-up, operation (fill fryer with oil, start spiral freezer, setup bagger and all packaging machines), routine monitoring and inspection, and shutdown of process equipment at end of shift.
- Assist Maintenance Supervisor as required.
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance tasks on plant equipment.
- Utilize hand tools
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Carry out routine maintenance of conveyors and conveyors components.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
- Experience in food industry is asset.
