Job Description :
The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing problems and completing maintenance and repairs for on-road vehicles.
Job Responsibilities :
- Perform routine service and breakdown maintenance for the LLSR vehicle fleet.
- Must be proficient in troubleshooting problems on various make of vehicles.
- Work under the supervision of Red Seal mechanics and unsupervised.
- Maintain a high standard of safety.
- Operate all fleet vehicles in order to evaluate the results of previously performed maintenance.
- Complete work orders and projects as assigned.
- Accurate record keeping of regular inspections, maintenance, and projects.
Job Requirements / Qualifications :
- Apprentice Automotive Service Technician, must be working towards Red Seal certification.
- Valid Driver's license (class 5 minimum).
- Must provide tools adequate per your level of training.
- Must have the ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Strong knowledge of light trucks an asset.
- Must possess accurate verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Safety oriented. Strong knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures.
- Able to prioritize tasks for efficiency.
- Follow all LLSR policies and procedures.
- A three month probationary period applies.
- A police background check, from your home country or province, will be required upon commencement of employment.
