Salary : $ 79,185 - $98,982 per annum : To commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN compensation policy

Position Summary
The Radiation Medicine Program (RMP) Research Associate II will be an experienced, ambitious professional with a background in radiation oncology with experience in scientific research.
They will report to the Manager, Program Development & Strategic Partnerships, under the direction of the RMP Director of research to advance adaptive radiation research priorities.
Duties
- Under the direct supervision of a radiation oncologist, performs real time contouring for patients receiving adaptive radiation treatment with replanning
- Utilizes expert technical knowledge of relevant imaging and radiation treatment software and systems
- Work with RMP investigators on all stages of research studies with minimal supervision
- Project design for collaborative projects and sets research goals and objectives
- Prepares papers for publications
- Conducts regular reviews of relevant literature
- Critically appraises manuscripts and proposals of investigators
- Provides direct supervision for assigned personnel, as required
Qualifications
- At minimum, Masters Degree in Health Science or related field. PhD and / or MD preferred.
- Extensive understanding of radiation oncology, including adaptive radiotherapy, required
- At minimum, 7 years of related experience in oncology research
- Advanced research knowledge and skills to perform highly complex procedures involving all phases of research, required
- Excellent communication skills, including experience in scientific writing for publication
- Works well with people from different disciplines and with varying levels of technical expertise
- Demonstrated leadership capacity in a research setting
