Job Purpose
Corporate Security at CPP Investments develops and maintains a comprehensive and robust security, life safety and emergency response program to mitigate risks to our employees and assets.
In support of this mandate, our group ensures the security of our global offices; tracks world events with potential to impact our employees;
and respond in times of crisis, providing intelligence, relief, and recovery to normal business operations.
The Senior Advisor for Corporate Security will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and security of our organization.
We are seeking a skilled analytics expert to join our Security Intelligence team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting security data to support strategic decision-making and operational initiatives.
This role involves managing and designing reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present findings effectively. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen understanding of global security issues.
The Senior Advisor role will be based in Toronto and will report to the Manager, Corporate Security.
Job Description
Responsible for extracting, analyzing, and interpreting security data from various sources and across our workstreams to produce operational metrics and analytical reports.
This role will involve designing new reports, dashboards and visualizations to present findings and communicate insights.
The Senior Advisor will analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
Contribute to the Corporate Security response to potential threats and vulnerabilities through strategic collection, analysis, and timely dissemination of intelligence products.
The accuracy and thoroughness of this reporting will be relied upon by Corporate Security to make critical decisions, and by other groups within the organization to initiate and support their response to business activities.
Assist with periodic review and update of governance documents relative to CPPIB global security and safety. Audit, track and report on existing office security and safety programs and assist with the development of security procedures, guidelines and communications.
Qualifications
Education & Professional Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant analytical experience within the security or intelligence community.
- Experience preparing security risk assessments and / or intelligence analysis.
- Experience with extracting, cleaning, and manipulating data from multiple sources. Experience with Tableau is an asset.

- Strong judgment, problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to effectively process information from multiple sources and draw meaningful assessments.
- Meticulous attention to detail in data analysis and report preparation.
- Proven ability to build and foster professional relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and keep abreast of global security issues as well as organizational developments which could impact CPP Investments’ operating or risk environment.
- Adaptable and able to adjust to changing priorities and operational needs.
