Family Law - Paralegal

Join this busy boutique law firmthat leads in the areas of construction commercial and matrimonialdispute resolution. They are seeking an experienced FamilyParalegal to join their team.

• You will collaboratewith clients and opposing counsel for the collection review andproduction of doents;
• Draft routinecorrespondence;
• Review doents and code them for relevance andprivilege;
• You willprepare pleadings including :
• Form F8 FinancialStatements;
• Affidavits;
• Notices ofApplication;
• Reviewand prepare transcript summaries;
• ist lawyers with all aspects of trialpreparations.

What qualifications and experienceare they looking for

• 5 years of litigation experiencewith a specialty in family;
• Successful completion of a postsecondary LAAand / or paralegal program or the real worldequivalent;
• thoroughknowledge and understanding of BC Supreme Court Rules courtpractices and procedures and filingdeadlines;
• Thoroughknowledge of Family Law Act;
• The ability to work overtime ifrequired;
• Experiencein Adobe MS Word Excel and Outlook;
• Experience withDivorceMate.
