Job Summary

As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance of our audio-visual (AV) equipment and inventory to ensure all items are in optimal condition and readily available for deployment.

Your role will involve inspecting, maintaining, and organizing AV equipment, as well as utilizing inventory management software to track and organize assets.

This position requires a strong understanding of AV technology and a detail-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain good working order of all Quest Audio Visual's inventory in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot basic issues with AV equipment.
  • Keep equipment firmware up to date.
  • Identify repair issues and delegate equipment to the repair department as necessary.
  • Create RMAs, send out, and track items needing repair to suppliers and external repair resources in a timely manner.
  • Order parts for equipment repair as necessary.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly barcoded and RFID tagged.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly labeled.
  • Ensure all cases are properly labeled.
  • Utilize inventory management software to log and check receiving orders.
  • Coordinate and perform periodic inventory check-ups to ensure all items are properly tracked, stored, and in working condition.
  • Work closely with the Warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate availability.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of audio, video, and lighting equipment, including setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
  • Basic repair and maintenance skills for AV equipment and / or electronics.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Experience with inventory management software (e.g., Rentman, Flex Rental Solutions) is a plus.
