Role : Workday Finance Consultant

Location : Calgary, AB

Who are we looking for?

Looking for Level 5 resource, having 3-5 years of experience in Workday Finance consultant role.

Technical Skills :

  • Configure Workday Financial business processes.
  • 5 years supporting Workday Financials experiences.
  • Experience on at least one full life cycle Workday Finance implementation preferred which include functional testing and data conversion and integration testing.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with Workday Finance, specifically Supplier management, Company & Cost center setup, AR / AP, GL, CM, Journal Entries etc.

Job Functions :

  • Configure Workday Financial business processes.
  • 5 years supporting Workday Financials experiences.
  • Experiednce on at least one full life cycle Workday Finance implementation preferred which include functional testing and data conversion and integration testing.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with Workday Finance, specifically Supplier management, Company & Cost center setup, AR / AP, GL, CM, Journal Entries etc.
  • Develop and maintain Workday reports.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure results meet the business needs.
  • Leverage knowledge of customer support principles, and best practices to provide best-in-class service to our internal customers.
  • Manage prioritization of work against priorities and dependencies.
  • Proactively review Workday business processes, to evaluate against new features and functionality with an eye to increased automation and reduction of manual processes.
  • Support new Workday release activities relating to the needs of the business and impact assessment.
  • Background in identifying, designing, testing, and deploying solutions in financial systems
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic, flexible environment.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and enterprise collaboration tools.

  • Expert in a wide-range of Agile processes, techniques, tools, and principles, including the latest trends in product and agile.

In particular, skilled at applying various strategies for decomposing work into potentially deployable increments.

  • Demonstrated experience managing broad stakeholder groups, particularly in gaining consensus on priority, cutting scope to eliminate waste, and rallying support for non-functional backlog items such as technical debt paydown and routine maintenance.
  • Highly skilled in written and verbal communication, especially in complex and high-pressure environments including experience interacting with C-level executives.
  • Demonstrated experience adapting to rapidly changing requirements and priorities.
  • Exceptional initiative and follow-through on projects with little to no supervision or guidance.
  • Passionate about knowledge sharing, and skilled at helping develop and advance the team through mentorship.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering products that meet and exceed customer and business expectations.
  • Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with business analysts, UI / UX team, leadership, senior management, and internal and external stakeholders.

Qualification :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar technical field of study, or related practical experience.

Master’s degree preferred, but not required.
