Associate Director, Project Manager Position Summary :
The AD, PM will be leading on advisory boards and congress projects predominantly, responsible for overseeing timeline management, budget delivery and leading client relations form a project point of view.
You will be a key communicator between teams and when meeting with clients too, ensuring the Account Director can successfully deliver against client objectives.
In support, you will work closely with a Project Manager who you will line manage and mentor, so leadership experience is required here.
Key responsibilities :
- Lead project delivery across live meetings and events deliverables, mostly advisory boards and congresses for both Canadian and US clients.
- Provide project management to the team throughout the project life cycle utilizing company and client systems, managing and providing accurate information to a high standard, ensuring the smooth operation of the account and project deliverables.
- Manage junior project management staff serve as mentor, share best practices, develop professional development plans and work on resourcing needs across the team.
- Develop detailed documentation relating to projects and project plans reflecting current timelines and milestones.
- Produce bespoke cost proposals for clients, seeking guidance from more senior team members when appropriate.
- Manage multiple projects to support an account(s), contributing to a successful outcome.
- Build and maintain excellent working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to successfully deliver projects.
- Develop and implement process improvements across all aspects of the project life cycle.
- Manager and then reports financials to Account Manager and operational team monthly.
- Actively contribute to internal strategic planning meetings and manage project status meetings (client and internal).
Required Experience :
- 7-8+ years of project management experience in a medical communications agency setting, with live meetings experience.
- Excellent communication ability, time management and sound project management skills.
- Strong ability to multitask and prioritize appropriately fantastic attention to detail.
- Have working knowledge of the congress space including activities and opportunities available to align with brand’s goals.
- Performing with the highest level of integrity and accountability and an ability to instill these values into the broader team.
- Excellent problem-solving aptitude ability to anticipate problems and find solutions proactively.
