Associate Account Executive; Construction Services Group CSG
Aon is looking for an Associate Account Executive for its Construction Services Group.
This role has the flexibility to be performed from our Toronto, Ontario office in a hybrid working model.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.

What the day will look like
Verify inbound policy coverage requests for accuracy and completeness, update client data records, reconcile policy endorsements and update policy endorsement logs.
Verify enrollment reports and prior to billing clients; liaise with clients and carriers regarding billings; manage policy billings and convert enrollment endorsements according to account-specific proceduresProblem solve and find solutions to any billings issues should they arise in reconciling quarterly enrollment reportsRespond to and resolve client inquiries regarding project enrollment, billings, invoices, and taxes.
Respond to and resolve internal finance and settlement inquiries around premium billings and taxes, including late payment
- Under the direction of Managing Director, Performance Security Leader and SDI Account Executive, servicing existing programs, defining routine risk exposure and providing first level advice on general policy coverages;
- Handling and servicing an assigned book of accounts;
- Developing and managing client relationships to provide excellent service in line with Aon’s service requirements;
- Review coverage referral requests including financial statement analysis
- Review policy renewal and new business applications information for completion and accuracy
- Participation in the C&I Business Development strategy to identify opportunities, cultivate relationships and promote Aon as a broker of choice for prospective customers
- Working with Business Development leaders to promote Aon at industry association functions to meet and develop prospects
- Identifying specific client risk exposure and developing and presenting innovative coverage solutions in support of existing and new business growth;
- Attending and minuting client meetings;
- Establishing account specific service plans and delivery approaches which support coverage solutions and provide continued opportunity for Aon product / service exposure;
- May supervise the day to day administrative activities of the Account Coordinators and / or administrative members of the service team, as required;
- Leading by example by demonstrating and sharing with all lines of business the importance of best practice; and
Performing other related duties as assigned.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Strong data management skills required (Excel, macros, pivot-tables, etc.) is a must
- Knowledge of Finance / Accounting, financial statement analysis is a must
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written;
- High business acumen and professional presentation skills;
- Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently with minimum supervision;
- Meticulous attention to detail, refined organizational skills and the ability to multi-task;
- Proven ability to prioritize competing requirements and deadlines under pressure;
- Must have strong computer skills and be proficient with the Microsoft Office Package.
- Experience in reviewing and interpreting legal documents and / or insurance policies is an asset
Preferred Experience :
- Commercial insurance experience is preferred;
- Understanding of the Construction and / or Asset Management industry
Education :
- Degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred or an equivalent years of industry experience
