We are hiring a In Room Dining Service Server!
As a In Room Dining Server, you must love to make people smile, have a welcoming nature and like working in a face paced environment.
Serving is in your blood and delivering a great meal and presenting it to your room guests makes you happy! Our guests will expect you to be a food & beverage professional using formal greetings as you arrive, explaining the meal provided and offering up any additional information needed to make the guest’s stay memorable.
Our Room Service Servers must know and follow the hotel’s established safety and security polices and procedures. Anticipate problems and notify management as needed.
ServSafe certificate / alcohol training is required.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following :
Set tables, trays according to type of food ordered and the hotels service standards.
Accurately records, pre-checks and picks-up all food and beverage orders.
Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and / or beverages.
Responsible for cleaning and removing the trolleys / trays from guest rooms and corridor.
Serves guests their food and beverage in prompt, courteous manner as per the standard sequence of service.
Present physical and accurate check to guest and complete the payment process.
To have a full knowledge of the food & beverage items & their specifications, menu prices, ingredients a nd style of service etc.
Report guest complaints immediately to the supervisors and ensuring follow up is performed with the guest.
Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas, chinaware, glassware, etc., throughout the day.
Report cleanliness and maintenance issues to the immediate supervisor.
Assist in carrying out scheduled inventories of products and operating equipment.
Ensure that the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times.
Ensure proper appearance and grooming while on duty.
Ensure to have minimum wastage and breakage.
Ensure communication between Kitchen, Order taker and service team members.
Monitor operating supplies, equipment an reduce spoilage and wastage successfully.
Respond to GXP requests to stock and replace missing bar cart items; liquor, snacks, glassware, menus, etc..
Deliver amenities to guest rooms prior to arrival.
Deliver Ice to guest rooms prior to arrival.
Inspect and clean the bar cart in accordance with departmental procedures and policies.
Maintain, track and submit bar cart usage to the front desk for for billing.
Responsible for maintaining the bar cart storage area in terms of par stock, rotating stock, organization and cleanliness.
Ensure products on bar cart are not expired and take the proper procedure to remove those products as necessary.
Properly complete, maintain and track inventory in assigned storerooms; notifying the department head when ordering is necessary.
Perform any other assigned reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned or as requested by Supervisors.
