What's the Role :
As a Senior Design Engineer, you will provide design, development, and engineering services for Bradken’s Mining products, especially Fixed Plant.
You are a customer-focused person, who is committed to making a difference. You will provide technical analysis, support, and warranty presentations to customers, and anticipate any needs that come from this analysis.
You will complete the First article dimensional reviews for the verification of new Bradken products. You will train others in and perform solid modeling, detailed drafting, analysis / simulation, site-based reverse engineering, and other technical requirements for complex product offerings for Bradken.
You will plan, align, and contribute to the documentation of training / education / marketing for both internal and external stakeholders.
You will work with third-party contacts to identify and capitalize on new / emerging opportunities for products and services.
Overall, you will ensure the effective management and protection of the intellectual property, as it relates to engineering and product solutions of the business in support of the sales, marketing, and manufacturing activities, including joint venture and outsourcing production partners.
Key Technical Criteria :
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Significant experience working as a design or reliability engineer in a mining or heavy manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the design of Design and FE Analysis of Fixed Plants is highly regarded.
- Ansys or equivalent FEA software experience required.
- Experience in problem-solving at customer sites in remote regions, process development, process control, and the techniques / equipment used
- Should be Bilingual French & English
This role can be based in Quebec / Ontario.
