As the Finance Operations Specialist at LEAP Canada, you will play a pivotal role in managing the Accounts Payable process while also contributing to monthly accounting and management reporting tasks.
You will be responsible for setting up metrics using Tableau and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data accuracy and compliance.
This is a contract-based role.
What you’ll do
- Actively manage and execute accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
- Utilize financial systems, including Mineral Tree, online banking platforms, and Excel.
- Set up accounts and payments within our online banking system and maintain banking relationships.
- Prepare annual budget as well as monthly accounting tasks, monthly reports, and process journal entries as needed.
- Set up Tableau reports using data from Sales Force and / or Zuora.
- Demonstrate familiarity with IFRS and cash-based accounting principles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data accuracy and compliance.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or working towards CPA qualification.
- Proven experience in accounts payable and GST reporting.
- Proficiency in Excel (intermediate); ability to adapt to new financial software and systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Self-starter with a "get it done" attitude.
- Comfortable working semi-independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Knowledge of monthly accounting, reporting, and journal entries processing.
- Experience with financial systems such as Mineral Tree, Tableau, Sales Force, and Zuora.
- Familiarity with cash flow forecasting tools like Float or similar.
- Understanding of IFRS and cash-based accounting principles preferred.
