YOUR ROLE :
As a Legal Assistant in Business Law, you will provide support in a variety of mandates.
Your main responsibilities will include :
- Prepare and assemble documentation required for transaction closings;
- Prepare and review various large and complex legal documents;
- Draft, edit and follow up on correspondence;
- Follow-up with various internal and external stakeholders;
- Conduct searches in the Quebec Enterprise Register, Corporations Canada, Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy, SOQUIJ, Quebec Land Registry and other sources;
- Coordinate logistics for meetings and travel;
- Manage agendas, receive, filter, reply to and forward e-mails, calls, etc.
SKILLS REQUIRED :
- Legal secretarial training;
- Relevant law firm or corporate experience (an asset);
- Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
- Ability to work as part of a team and cultivate good interpersonal relations;
- Professionalism, discretion and sense of responsibility;
- Discretion, resourcefulness and autonomy.
