What you will do :
Erikson Pro is a division within JAM that distributes professional and commercial audio and intelligent lighting products in Canada.
We are a dedicated group committed to success with a strong track record.
The position offers growth opportunities, to take on more responsibilities over time. The candidate will be working closely with the division’s VP.
We are currently seeking a Product Manager to join the Erikson Pro Division within the Pro Lighting market segment to focus on rental, installation, and architectural segments, and on DJ retail product offerings.
The candidate will be responsible for the product management of a portfolio of brands : go-to-market strategy, purchasing, inventory, marketing, and supplier relationships.
The candidate will also lead product & marketing-related activities, digital marketing & communications initiatives, prepare tools for the sales team, and conduct market research.
An in-depth knowledge of the entertainment lighting world is a plus.
Responsibilities :
- Manage brand segments and develop growth strategies.
- Develop product pricing for the Canadian Market.
- Develop and execute product go-to-market strategies.
- Perform sales, profitability, and competitive analysis.
- Manage inventory.
- Manage the product lifecycle from SKU creation to product launch, and retirement.
- Develop close supplier relationships and foster open lines of communication.
- Liaise with the sales representatives & suppliers.
- Provide expertise in product applications, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
- Develop and coordinate marketing & communications activities.
- Manage social media platforms as well as digital and web content (a plus).
- Assist with e-commerce efforts which may include Amazon storefront maintenance and advertising campaigns.
- Assist in organizing trade shows, special events, and other promotional events.
Qualifications :
- 5+ years of marketing experience including brand management and product marketing.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience within the entertainment lighting industry.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in marketing technical products.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively.
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Ability to analyze and understand sales / financial numbers.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in digital marketing, lead, and content generation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a high pressure, deadline driven environment.
What we are looking for :
- Knowledge of products and industry :
- In-depth experience and strong knowledge of automated lighting in entertainment, theater, and architectural lighting segments.
- Familiarity with country-wide lighting market layout rentals, integration, retail.
- Strong knowledge of technology in play : LED, optics, video, control protocols.
- Strategic understanding of the DJ retail lighting segment.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience, preferably with hands-on experience ( The show must go on! ).
- Bachelor of Commerce degree or similar is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with little supervision / autonomously or collaboratively and under pressure.
- Takes initiative, is creative, organized, good sense of judgment, results-oriented, and can handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of MS Office and JD Edwards / E1 (a plus).
- Candidates must be Bilingual in French and English.
