Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Essential duties and responsibilities of staff designated as Commercial Litigation Assistants at the Firm include but are not limited to :
- Preparation of court documents, actions, applications, affidavits of documents, requests to admit, motion records, factums etc;
- Coordinating Commercial List / Court attendances;
- Scheduling appointments, court dates, examinations for discovery, mediations; and
- Communicating effectively with clients.
Qualifications , Skills and Abilities Required :
- Five-Seven years’ experience in the areas of litigation and bankruptcy and insolvency;
- Strong computer skills including knowledge of MSWord, ACL and CaseLines;
- Excellent spelling, grammar and proofreading skills;
- Highly organized and detailed oriented with the ability to manage multiple matters;
- Client focused;
- Team player with a positive attitude;
- Able to manage the administrative needs of the practices.
Working Conditions :
Normal law office environment with little exposure to noise, dust, temperature.
