The Program Manager oversees new and existing programs within the manufacturing facility by coordinating plant operating procedures to meet program requirements efficiently.
Responsibilities include managing program vendor activities, preparing quotations, providing technical launch support, and facilitating customer communication.
Responsibilities :
Implementing a sales approach for customer quote follow-ups.
Providing regular sales forecast updates for capacity planning.
Managing internal and partner tool builds for optimal quality and cost.
Utilizing NX CAD software for engineering change assessments.
Supporting new programs by attending product development meetings.
Collaborating with feasibility designers for timely part / tooling feedback.
Maintaining project tracking spreadsheets and reviewing purchase orders.
Documenting tool trials and facilitating customer reviews.
Ensuring clear communication on changes affecting tooling.
Providing progress reports and assisting in program management improvement.
Managing multiple molds simultaneously and attending mold flow reviews.
Updating Product Delivery Process (PDP) Timing using Trax Software.
Developing customer relationships and effective communication strategies.
Incorporating best practices and lessons learned into process designs.
Qualifications : Education :
Education :
College diploma / University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Engineering Degree, PMP Designation, Mold Maker’s Certificate, or Tool and Die Certificate (preferred).
Experience :
6-9 years of experience in mold making, machining, or automotive manufacturing.
Extensive program management experience in medium to large-size tooling industry.
Good understanding of tool function and injection tool manufacturing processes.
Mold design and processing experience (preferred).
Skills :
Sound financial and business acumen.
Intermediate understanding of tool design and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in 3D NX design software.
Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.
Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Ability to communicate in a second language (preferred).
