Key Responsibilities :
- Project Leadership : Lead and manage multifamily projects through all stages of development, including pre-construction, construction, and project close-out.
- Budget & Schedule Management : Develop, manage, and track project budgets, schedules, and timelines. Ensure adherence to project financials and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Team Coordination : Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned and progress is on schedule.
- Client & Stakeholder Relations : Maintain regular communication with internal stakeholders, external clients, and municipal agencies to ensure project requirements and expectations are met.
- Risk Management : Identify and mitigate project risks, resolve issues that arise, and ensure compliance with safety, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Quality Assurance : Monitor and enforce quality standards throughout the construction process, ensuring work is completed to specifications and with the highest attention to detail.
- Contract Management : Negotiate, review, and manage contracts with third-party vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
- Reporting : Prepare and deliver project status reports, financial reports, and documentation to senior management, clients, and stakeholders.
- Sustainability & Innovation : Support the integration of sustainable practices, green building initiatives, and innovative design solutions into multifamily projects.
Qualifications & Requirements :
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
- Experience : Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management within the multifamily real estate development sector, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects.
- Local Knowledge : Strong understanding of the Vancouver real estate market, including permitting processes, building codes, and local construction practices.
- Technical Skills : Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar), and MS Office Suite.
Experience with construction management software is an asset.
- Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders, including contractors, clients, and municipal representatives.
- Problem Solving : Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve complex project challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership : Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a collaborative approach to project delivery.
- Financial Acumen : Strong understanding of project budgeting, cost management, and financial reporting.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience working with a real estate developer or general contractor in Vancouver.
- Familiarity with LEED or other green building certifications.
- Experience managing large-scale, high-density residential or mixed-use developments.
