What you’ll get to do within the Regulatory and International teams

International practice provide actuarial consulting services to public and private sector clients across the Caribbean.

Conduct actuarial valuations for public and private sector pension plans, health insurance and life insurance companies and social security programs.

Understand and analyze financial statements and actuarial reports for life and general insurers.

Construct worksheets / databases using excel and analyze data.

Provide regulatory review for insurance and pension regulators.

Participate in social security review and design.

Conduct life and health insurance product pricing.

Receive and respond to routine inquiries and requests from clients.

Become familiar with international regulatory environments - legislation and policies.

Regulatory practice provide support to actuarial valuation and administration of insolvent pension plans across Canada.

Support, supervise and validate the process of actuarial valuation and pension plan de-risking and annuity purchase activities.

Support and coordinate with wind-up administration team during the plan wind-up pension administration process.

Attend meetings, drafts reports, presentations, and plan materials for internal and external clients.

Assist with special projects and tasks, as required.

Build and maintain excellent relations with clients and internal colleagues.

Participate in ongoing professional development.

What you will bring to this position

University degree in actuarial science or mathematics

Have ACIA or FCIA designation or be in the process of obtaining it

5 to 10 years of relevant work experience in insurance or pension consulting industry

Strong competency with MS office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Familiarity with GGY AXIS considered an asset

Exceptional customer focus with strong professional acumen

Excellent analytical and mathematical skills

Strong communication (oral and written) and organizational skills

Dedicated team player, who demonstrates initiative and independence
