As a Finance Co-Op Student (12 months) with Trans Mountain, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a progressive and fast-paced group in the Finance department.
This position is based in our Calgary Head Office.
This opportunity is open to post-secondary students who are currently enrolled in their 3rd year of studies and is part of a Co-op Program.
This position is based in our Calgary office and will report to the Director, Finance.
Duration : January 6, 2025 to December 19,2025
Key Responsibilities :
- Participate in the annual budget and quarterly forecasting cycle including attending review meetings, preparation of monthly reporting and addressing account inquiries.
- Developing reports and compiling analyses to support company’s overall 2026 budget document.
- Assist with year-end financial statement audit including compilation of audit samples and preparation of working papers.
- Assist the financial reporting team with preparation of internal control reviews and participating in control walk throughs.
- Participate in the insurance renewal process including collection and review of underwriting information, working on marketing reports and preparation for market meetings.
- Assist the Fixed Asset team with capital project close outs including review of close out documentation to ensure completeness.
- Assist with compiling credit reports for annual shipper credit review.
- Ongoing support of vendor onboarding and other master data tasks.
- Preparation of monthly account reconciliations.
- Support tax group with preparation of tax filing worksheets and assisting with GST analytics.
Qualifications and Professional Experience :
- Currently working towards a post-secondary institute degree in your 3rd year of study of a relevant program (Accounting or Finance preferred).
- Office 365 experience required.
- Enrollment in your institution's co-op program is a requirement.
The expected pay range for this position is $22.42 to $30.07 CAD per hour
