Must Haves

• At least 5+ years' experience performing z / OS system support / programming , Host Network experience
• Demonstrable skills in z / OS Network Systems Programming in a multi-LPAR Sysplex environment : Communication Server VTAM : SNA, APPN, Enterprise Extender, Subarea routing, Logmode tables.
• Communication Server TCP / IP : OSA, OSPF, zOSMF, DVIPA, DDVIPA. Network Security : PAGENT, SSL / TLS, Configuration Assistant, SSH.
• Network Monitoring : (One or more) NetView, CA-NetMaster, OMEGAMON for Networks.
• File Transfer (Two or more) : Connect : Direct, CA-XCOM, ftp(s), SFTP, NetView FTP, Co : Z, Tectia.
• Session managers (one or more) : CA-TPX, CL-Supersession, NetView Access Services, Teleview, VTAM / Switch.
• Print products : CA-Spool, IBM lnfoprint, VPS.
• Diagnostic skills are a must, including the ability to interpret job and task logs, syslogs, and traces.
• Ability to train and coach junior team members and build proficient network skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and accounts.

Role and Responsibilities :

We are seeking a Mainframe Network Systems Programmer for a Host Network Support position. This role functions, in a global team providing services to a client with multi-protocol complex environments.

The selected candidate will interact frequently with clients, vendors, and management to ensure high level of satisfaction.

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Acting as a resource and point of escalation for global team members.
• Engaging in identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex problems on zOS host networks.
• Providing planning and recommendations for changes on hardware and software components for the zOS network.
• Utilizing z / OS Communimplementation of network software upgrades, including testing and implementation with network service provider, application teams, and internal support teams.
• Disaster Recovery, planning and execution of tests, including client access to DR systems during production network service.
