C&A Group is actively recruiting Metal Fabricators / Welders of any skill level to join our rapidly expanding and dynamic team of Metal Fabrication professionals in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.

Wage : Base Journeyperson Rate - Up to $42.00 / hr.

Are you an individual who :

Metal Fabricators / Welders and Helpers are required to perform some or all the following duties :
- Comply with and take part in all C&A health and safety program requirements.
- Comply with all Provincial Health and Safety Regulations.
- Comply with all Prime Contractor Health and Safety requirements, rules, and regulations.
- Journeypersons shall possess an Alberta Welding Certificate or Inter-Provincial red seal.
- Apprentices shall possess the education level (High School Diploma) as mandated by regulatory authorities.
- Pass CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) welding tests.
- Read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications.
- Work to close tolerances.
- Use manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal components using processes such as :
- SMAW Shielded metal arc welding
- GTAW - Gas tungsten arc welding
- GMAW Gas metal arc welding
- FCAW Flux core arc welding
- Knowledge of metals, relevant product codes, regulations, and laws.
- Knowledge of applied mathematics (i.e., fractions, measuring and geometry).
- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
- Determine welding procedures to minimize distortion.
- Operate trade-related equipment.
C&A Group will review each resume and contact potential candidates only for a phone interview. Successful candidates will be asked to attend an in-person interview with our hiring team which consists of our Operations Manager, Shop Operations Manager and Foreman.
These candidates will be notified of the results within five (5) business days.
Please note that a valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract is preferred but not required.
