About the role
We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect - Data & Analytics to join our growing team!
What you'll do here :
- Be part of a high-profile team with a multitude of opportunities to deliver transformative data solutions to our business customers.
- Continue to develop and evolve the Enterprise Data Platform architecture and integrations with our systems and market tools.
- Contribute to the Data Strategy for the Data & Analytics team which includes defining the Data Management Lifecycle, defining data depersonalization patterns, setting the DR strategy for the Enterprise data platform, defining the Next Door IT strategy and implementing same.
- Collaborate with members of various technical teams to develop solutions that address the needs of our key data customers.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to ensure adherence to EA principles and guidelines.
- Develop scalable and robust architectures that can support the growing volumes of our data environments.
- Deliver architectures that meet our enterprise security and data protection standards.
- Ensure the architecture is aligned with our corporate vision and objectives, while being able to propose innovative new approaches to problem solving.
What you need :
- A bachelor’s degree in information technology / software engineering or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 5-8 years' experience in a Solution Architecture role.
- Experience architecting data pipelines in the cloud.
- Experience working with AWS services, including S3, EC2, Lambda.
- Experience building data warehouses and data marts in the cloud.
- Experience migrating traditional on-prem EDW data integrations to the cloud.
- Experience working in Agile delivery.
- Experience with DataBricks, Informatica IICS and PowerBI (asset).
- Experience with Data Vault (asset).
- Experience in Snowflake (asset).
- Experience with Power Designer (asset).
- Certification in an Architecture Frameworks (TOGAF or similar) (asset).
- Experience with the CGI RCDA architecture approach (asset).

- Passionate about creating responsive and scalable data pipeline architectures.
- Able to thrive in a diverse team of Business Architects, Solution Architects, Data Architects and work with a delivery teams.
- Able to take a business problem and turn it into a technological solution.
- Comfortable working in complex and constantly changing environments, with multidisciplinary teams.
- Being able to effectively challenge the Status quo and set standard and direction for the solutions
- A very good communicator who excels at explaining your ideas.
- Well organized, able to multi-task and manage priorities.
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
