The Full Stack Developer (Front End Bias) will design, develop, and maintain web applications using React with exposure to Angular, Java, Spring Boot, and other modern technologies.
This role will also be responsible for providing and receiving cross training (front end / back end), conducting code reviews, utilizing best practices, and ensuring the quality and delivery of code for our projects in a team-based environment and will collaborate with team leads, project managers, and stakeholders in an agile and team-based environment.
A Day in the Life
Implement front-end features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React
Design, develop & maintain web applications using Java / C#, Spring Boot, and other modern technologies
Integrate with back-end services using RESTful APIs, JSON, etc
Write unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests during code development
Optimize the stack for performance, security, and scalability within new projects and existing code
Contribute to component library to ensure robust component-based framework
Implement front-end features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React
Back-end web technologies such as Java, C#, Spring Boot
Able to work well in a team-based environment
Strong desire to learn new technologies
Integrate with back-end services using RESTful APIs, JSON, etc
Write unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests
Work with our DevOps team to improve our CI / CD pipeline
Able to interpret business requirements and translate into technical outcomes
Troubleshoot and debug issues
Optimize the stack for performance, security, and scalability within new projects and existing code
Follow best practices and coding standards
Document code and functionality
Contribute to component library to ensure robust component-based framework
Contribute to creation and sustaining measurable and actionable development KPIs
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or commensurate work experience
5+ years of experience as a full stack developer or similar role
Strong knowledge of React, HTML, CSS, JS
Preference for experience with Angular
Must have integrated with a strongly-typed OOP back end language
Web development tools such as Webpack, Babel, NPM, NuGet, etc.
Experience with relational and non-relational databases such as PostGres, MongoDB, etc.
Experience with Git as a version control tool and a branching methodology such as GitFlow
Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, etc.
Experience with developing net new microservices
Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins
Preference for containerization knowledge such as Docker, Kubernetes
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Preference for experience with Java / C#
Preference for ability to write / use tooling to facilitate / streamline their work
