We are looking for a Maintenance performance centre (MPC) Lead
Your future role :
Develop and deploy MPC
- Work with product line MPC team to understand and deploy MPC strategy / design, ensuring that the regional complexities or difficulties are managed appropriately and maintains the intent of MPC
- Consolidate the current depot organisations into a singular structure (where possible), considering impact on performance and people
- Integrate the MPC principles into the regional metiers, challenging the business to optimise their metiers and deliver the best performance possible
- Lead and direct meetings / workshops on the critical elements of the deployment ensuring there is a consensus and ownership of the objectives and actions
- Design and govern the mobilisation / implementation plan, ensuring the DFQ / Governance is maintained and that the schedule is maintained
- Ensure the regional teams are delivering their actions in a timely manner engineering, supply chain, HR etc.
Lead and coordinate MPC strategy & teams :
- Drive MPC strategy & 3YP in line with projects requirements (quality, cost, delivery, performance, railway safety, EHS)
- Lead and synchronize MPC operation teams & depots : engineering, RAM, RW safety, fleet management, fleet & depot planning, industrialisation, supply chain, preventive & corrective maintenance, repair & overhaul, depots management
- Manage staffing and develop resources & competencies (in multi-projects, multi-functional & multi-depots mode)
- Ensure the digital tools are used following the right processes and monitor compliance vs standards and objectives
- Ensure compliance with applicable rules, instructions and standards : Ethics & Compliance, EHS, Railway Safety, Quality
Manage MPC activities & performance :
- Manage the MPC performance and contribution to projects objectives and KPIs
- Engage MPC teams & depots in the successful achievement of project objectives and strengthen relationships among them
- Escalate when priorities & resources across teams / depots do not match projects needs and arbitrate with Projects Managers
- Manage proactively risks, savings and opportunities and give input to the R&O process of each project
- Improve and maintain usage of digital maintenance tools
- Provide data analytics about failures and implement condition-based maintenance across projects
- Deploy APSYS in RS Maintenance, drive mindset of continuous improvement and set-up depot and function improvement plans
Coordinate with Projects :
- Coordinate projects operations management in relation with Projects Managers
- Provide the full visibility of related project WP performance status
- Ensure a transparent priority management process and share arbitration decisions with Project managers
- Provide efficient support to Projects (anticipation of resources & competencies needs, reactivity for issues solving)
Interface with Tenders :
- Provide REX data to Tender teams (costing, sizing, competencies, depots facilities ).
- Ensure most recent optimization standards are communicated and documented for future tenders
- Ensure the tendering strategy and benefits are detailed for the region, understand the pipeline and what could be integrated into an MPC

- 10+ years as site, project or operation manager in railway industry of which at least 5 year experience of medium critical projects
- Experience of working in and with multi-functional, multi-sites or multi-projects teams
- Experience of mobilising large maintenance projects
- Knowledgeable of ALSTOM way of working for efficient process execution
- Good knowledge and connections with transport clients / customers in the country
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision making
- Proactive and efficient responses to pressing issues and challenges
- Strong ability to convince, influence & persuade
- Leadership, entrepreneurship mindset and result oriented
