The duties and responsibilities of the Business Manager, Automotive Car Sales Include :

  • Planning, directing and evaluating the operations of the car dealership; managing staff and assigned duties; studying market research trends to determine car buyer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors’ operations on sales;
  • determine merchandise to be sold and implement price and credit policies in conjunction with senior management; locate, select and procure used cars for resale;
  • develop and implement company marketing strategies; plan budgets and authorize expenditure in collaboration with senior management;
  • resolve any customer complaints; determine staffing requirements and hire or oversee hiring of sales staff; forecasting goals and objectives for sales, gross and key expenses on a monthly and annual basis;
  • hires, trains, motivates, counsels and monitors the performance of all used and new vehicle sales employees; prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the new and used vehicle sales department;
  • ensures customer retention and profitability and establishing customer-focused sales standards; understands and keeps abreast with and complies with federal and Provincial regulations that affect used and new vehicle sales and vehicle exports;
  • maintains an accurate daily log that reflects all sales activities in the dealership; ensures a proper follow-up of all potential buyers and developing , implementing and monitoring a prospecting and sales control system;
  • develops incentive programs along with dealer and other managers; Completes deal settlement sheets and turns into accounting office un a prompt and timely manner;

maintains professional appearance and carries out any other tasks assigned.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of Grade 12 graduation upwards; 4-10 years of related experience and / or training or equivalent combination of education and experience;

fluent speaker in English or French; fluent or have functional abilities in German, Turkish, Urdu, Persian, Pashto, Arabic and Italian.

Knowledge of Middle Eastern work culture, business ethics and languages will be an added advantage in dealing with some of our car buyers from the Middle East.

These language requirements are critical for the employer since the company has clients and buyers from the Middle East, Europe and North America.

Possession of these language skills will enhance the company’s business reach and market penetration overseas. We encourage all interested to apply but priority shall be given to applicants who are Canadian citizens and Permanent Residents.
