Accounting and Payroll Technician (national company)

Our client, a traded national company, seeks an Accounting Technician specialized in payroll to join their dynamic team on a 14-month contract.

YOUR ROLE :
- Prepare and process payroll for Quebec and Ontario according to current legislations;
- Assist with month-end payroll tasks;
- Monitor payroll budget variances during month-end closing;
- Manage expense accounts, and accounts payable and receivable;
- Prepare GST / QST reports;
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial statements;
- Perform bank reconciliations;
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting and payroll processes.
SKILLS REQUIRED :
- Degree in accounting, finance, or related field;
- Experience in payroll processing;
- Proficiency in accounting and payroll software;
- Strong communication skills in French and English (written and spoken);
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team;
- Versatility and adaptability .
