We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst with expertise in the finance domain. As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in analyzing and interpreting financial data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making within the organization.
Additionally, this role will involve responsibilities related to UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) administration, requiring proficiency in HR and workforce management systems.
The Business Analyst will report to the Vice President, Enterprise Applications & PMO.
What will you be doing?
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and requirements, translating & documenting them into comprehensive business, functional (& technical) specifications
- Partner with cross-functional teams to lead, assist or manage the implementations of configurations, development, quality assurance (QA) and user acceptance testing (UAT), project planning, execution, and post-implementation reviews, ensuring successful delivery and stakeholder satisfaction
- Seek to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement by analyzing financial data and performance metrics
- Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and reports to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
- Conduct research and impact analysis on the evaluation of proposed initiatives / solutions
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the HRIS system, managing configurations, troubleshooting issues, and providing training and support to end-users - Which includes post merger integration projects for divisions transitioning to the corporate HRIS
- Support internal clients on day-to-day and strategic initiatives
- Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting the finance and HR domains, proactively sharing insights and recommendations with the team
What skills, experience and education are we looking for?
- Have led or participated in an ERP Digital Transformation
- Experience on General Ledger (GL), Sub-Ledgers, Chart of Accounts, Transits, Business Units, Legal Entities
- Experience in analyzing the data and file interface specifications
- Experience on Reconciliation - Process and rule definition
- Experience in finance systems leveraging multi-site, multinational capabilities
- Experience supporting the HRIS, including payroll
- Experience with BAAN LN or Infor ERPs, UKG, and OneStream an asset
- Support the maintenance of HR data integrity within and across systems, conduct system audits and reconcile discrepancies with other functional areas to ensure data accuracy.
- Support the development of standardized processes, dashboard and reports to be used on an ongoing basis
- Ability to work in fast-paced and demanding environment with multiple stakeholders
- University degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Business System Analyst Role within Finance domain
- Working experience in Human Resources Information Systems with system integration understanding of cross functional touchpoints and their impacts within the HR system platform.
