THE OPPORTUNITY
As part of the organization’s continued evolution, BCI has identified driving sustainable growth’ as a key strategic priority.
The recently formed Growth & Solutions branch is responsible for the development and implementation of BCI’s product shelf to meet client needs.
Products include both funds invested in directly by clients, and vehicles used to distribute or trade assets with third parties, where distribution and trades are designed to enable extraction of maximal value for clients from external transactions.
WHAT YOU BRING
An experienced investment professional with top-down’, multi-asset experience where they have developed innovative products and creative solutions for institutional clients.
They will bring a demonstrated track record building relationships across diverse stakeholders and identifying and executing on business development and partnership opportunities in the Canadian pension space.
Specific knowledge and understanding of BCI’s governance, clients and the BC pension and investment ecosystem would be a significant asset.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
The VP must have in-depth knowledge of BCI’s governance and stakeholders. As a member of the leadership team, they will exhibit strong leadership skills to build and strengthen relationships to showcase and strengthen BCI’s value proposition to existing and prospective customers.
They will reinforce BCI’s position as a trusted advisor and respond to clients’ needs and preferences, identifying new markets for current products, opportunities for new and innovative offerings, and new partnerships and market opportunities.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
Reporting to the Executive Vice President, ISR, the VP, Growth & Solutions is responsible for all aspects of development of BCI’s product shelf for clients and vehicles used to transact with third parties to support the long-term growth and sustainability of BCI.
The VP will be a strategic driver on the development and implementation of BCI’s growth strategy and the direction of BCI’s product offering.
The VP will manage stakeholder relationships to grow the business and gain support and approvals on its direction.
WHERE YOU WILL WORK
With a preference for BCI’s Victoria-based office, this position can be located in our Vancouver office, with the understanding that periodic in-office presence will be required in Victoria.
SALARY RANGE
BCI offers a competitive total rewards package which includes a performance-based incentive plan, comprehensive health & dental benefits, a defined benefit pension plan and paid time off.
The annualized base salary range for this Victoria or Vancouver based role is CAD $224,000 to $260,000.
The base salary offered to the successful candidate will consider a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill set, level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered and consideration to internal equity.
We pay our people competitively in the markets in which we compete for talent and with consideration to internal equity and job structure.
We aim for actual pay to be around the median of the market for target or expected levels of performance, and around the upper quartile of the market for excellent performance.
Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience and expertise.
