This role is within our data-science teams. These teams work on a variety of projects across the organization through the application of data, analytics, and predictive modeling.

We require qualified and safety-focused students for business-critical roles that maintain our commitment to operational excellence and reliable operations.

Multiple positions available

Responsibilities

Solve key business problems including but not limited to data integration, predictive maintenance, subsurface analytics, process optimization, and time series forecasting

Support data science initiatives, internal tools, and end-to-end machine learning solutions

Assist in the design and development of proof of concept and prototype application environments.

Analyze datasets too large or complex to be handled by traditional data-processing methods and applications

Assist in operational demand intake including analysis, shaping, facilitating prioritization and planning

Qualifications

Legally entitled to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa)

Available to begin work in May2024

Knowledge in Power BI, Spotfire, Gitlab, R, Python, or SQL would be considered as asset.

Education

Must be enrolled in a Computer Science, Data Analytics, or Data Science Undergraduate Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term

Candidates currently enrolled in either a masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered

Skills / Competencies

Ability to work cohesively in a team while capable of completing tasks independently as required

Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and create solutions

Excellent analytical / modeling and communication skills
