- Description : Under the general direction of the Principal, the Library Technician operates the school Library Commons and information services to meet the needs of staff and students;
- promotes authors, books and special events; performs administrative functions associated with the library and / or school;
coordinates volunteers’ activities; and performs other duties, as assigned by the supervisor.Qualifications : The ideal candidate will have completed secondary school, have a two-year Community College diploma (i.
e. Library Technician diploma, etc...); and two to three-years related experience. Expertise with Destiny, L4U, computer hardware and software, and various AV equipment.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills are essential. Individuals who possess an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
The use of a personal vehicle may be required.Status : Casual Library Technicians must be available to work on call during regular school hours.
