Your new role
Our client is seeking a Vice President specializing in Real Estate Capital Markets and Finance to join their growing Montreal office.
In this role, you will be tasked with originatingmercial real estate debt and equity transactions within the Quebec and Atlantic markets.
Your responsibilities will include proactively selling and marketing their full range ofmercial products, as well as contributing to a market-driven capital markets advisory process.
Key Duties and Responsibilities :
- Establish, create, and maintain a network of key strategic contacts / resources to source potential new business opportunities for their full range of business products.
- Source newmercial real estate capital markets opportunities.
- Demonstrate financial analysis skills to determine borrower lending options.
- Negotiate and develop needs-based solutions, presenting proposals to potential clients within thepany's objectives.
- Actively seek and share information regarding market changes andpetitive activity to develop key market strategies.
- Collaborate with the Analyst team inpleting financing presentations and pre-qualifications by assessing and preparing relevant information on behalf of borrowers.
- Work with the Analyst team to develop and deliver deal presentations to thepany's creditmittee, establishing credibility.
- Act as a representative, liaising with internal stakeholders and external influencers to achieve business growth and build strong ties in the businessmunity.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in eithermercial mortgage sales or lending, or in acquisitions at a major financial institution ormercial brokerage firm.
- Undergraduate degree in real estate, finance, economics, urban land development, accounting, or business administration.
- CFA, CAIA, or CPA charter holder or in the process ofpleting (considered an asset).
- Fully licensed with AMF or OACIQ or have begun the licensing process.
- Proactive and not reactive.
- Proven ability to problem-solve and manage conflicting discussions.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to provide flexible solutions to clients.
- Experience with creating and delivering business presentations, including public speaking.
- Strong relationship management,munication, influential, and negotiation skills.
- Motivated self-starter who is results-driven.
What you'll get in return
You will be generouslypensated for the business you generate. Your first year will have a guaranteedpensation based on your seniority and is expected to be 100%mission based upon establishing yourself in the role.
