For over 70 years, our client has provided best in class water, wastewater, transportation, energy, environment and facilities solutions and as they grow in the Canadian market, they are looking to add a dynamic Project Manager to their British Columbia operations.

The Project Manager will play a key role in the expansion of the company in Canada. This role will combine substantial technical expertise in Water and Wastewater project management with an entrepreneurial mindset.
What you will do in the role :
- Act as the Project Manager for significant water and wastewater projects across British Columbia.
- Acts as the primary liaison with client’s Project Managers, overseeing project scope, schedule, budget, and quality management, etc.
- Works with the local Executive Team and Corporate Sales and Marketing team to prepare proposals and engage with clients to foster business development, enhance reputation, and build relationships with municipal clients for water sector projects.
- Actively participates in networking opportunities including involvement with professional societies within the industry.
- Provides technical guidance, senior leadership, and mentoring to engineering staff to strengthen the water services capabilities in BC.
- Offers technical support, project management assistance, and quality management services for projects in BC and at times throughout North America.
- Cultivates and maintains rich, positive working relationships with key clients / stakeholders.
- Supports operational duties such as hiring, training and mentoring staff to staff.
- Offers strategic advice and insights to the executive team and seeks out opportunities for continuous improvement.
What you will bring to the role :
- Post-secondary education in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or other relevant areas of study is required.
- 5 or more years’ experience in project management and technical project delivery for municipal water projects.
- PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required (Or obtained within first year)
- Business development experience including proposal creation and cost estimates for municipal projects.
- Occasional domestic and / or international travel may be necessary. A valid Passport is required. Ability to travel 5% of the year is required.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite, project management software, industry-specific software, CRM and / or ERP systems, virtual meeting platforms.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with a proven track-record of meeting defined deadlines and deliverables.
- A collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset with strong business acumen and emotional intelligence.
