The Account Executive will be part of a growing dynamic sales team and will report to the VP of Business Development, Live Productions Canada.
You will be responsible for actively supporting and growing the business through managing and creating project-based opportunities in Canada and the US, in the various sectors served by Solotech, including corporate, live and special events, government, film and TV.
Your day will look like this :
- Maintain and nurture current business client relationships to ensure client satisfaction and long-term client relationships for the organization.
- Take on and convert new client leads and inquiries.
- Actively prospect, cultivate, and grow new client relationships within the events and entertainment markets such as : corporate events, trade shows, Concerts, tours, festivals, film & TV.
- Evaluate the client’s needs in order to propose innovative technological solutions assists them in selecting those best suited to their requirements, by the selection on equipment, design of specific plan and particular labor in order to achieve the customer’s vision
- Prepare quote for clients, price and contract details while consulting the Project Management Office, Legal and any other department relative to the quote.
- Ensure smooth execution of project while working collaboratively with Operations, Project Managers, and all other departments necessary for delivery of the project.
- Collaborate closely with the management team, to ensure an on budget and on time delivery of the projects.
- Keep up to date with product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends.
- Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities.
- Ensure follow-up with clients and partners for ongoing projects. Solve customer problems and complaints.
Your profile :
- Post-secondary education in Theatrical Production, business administration / commerce, project management, or relevant work experience.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in the meeting or event planning, or the entertainment industry.
- Excellent Knowledge of Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Knowledge of Financial software programs (R2 & D365 or Similar).
- General knowledge in the fields of audio, lighting, video and rigging is an asset.
- Demonstrates a highly competitive nature and persistence to drive results.
Specific Requirements :
- Available to work flexible hours.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Demonstrated excellent skills for selling and a strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Travel to clients' locations (50% of the time)
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills.
- Strong organizational, planning and analytical skills.
- Strong command of the English language.
- Command of the French language is an asset, but not mandatory.
- Ability to handle stress and manage multiple projects within strict deadlines.
