Automotive Technician

Neerlandia Co-op is hiring a full-time Automotive Technician at their Co-op Service Centre in Neerlandia, AB.

Due to the busy schedule at the Neerlandia Co-op Service Center we are looking to grow our team and add another Automotive Technician.

The Automotive Technician is responsible for repairs and preventive automotive maintenance.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and alignments.
• Diagnosing and repairing a wide range of light to medium duty vehicles.
• Communicating to advisor about the status of vehicles to keep customers informed.
• Using computerized testing equipment, conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers’ problems and provide accurate repair recommendations.

Accountability

• Automotive Technician will report directly to the Service Centre Manager
• To align objectives with Neerlandia Co-op shared values, purpose, and vision

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Valid high school diploma or equivalent
• Apprentice or Ticket / Red Seal Certification
• Preference will be given to 3rd / 4th-year apprentice or Journeyman

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting relationships
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written communication)
• High level of energy with strong customer service skills
• Ability to handle transactions accurately and be responsible
